When are lambs available?

The current batch is May 2026: three lambs, or six half-equivalent slots. The next batch is expected between November 2026 and March 2027.

How do I reserve a lamb?

Email us at lambs@terrarose.farm. Once Stripe checkout is live, you’ll be able to place a $100 half-lamb deposit or $200 whole-lamb deposit directly on this site.

How much does it cost?

Lamb is $7.50 per pound hanging weight. A half is roughly 27–30 lbs hanging weight, about $225 to the farm plus $50 to the butcher. A whole is roughly 55–60 lbs hanging weight, about $450 to the farm plus $100 to the butcher.

What is hanging weight?

Hanging weight is the weight after initial processing but before cutting. From hanging weight, you typically receive about 65–70% as packaged take-home meat.

What cuts will I get?

Once the animal is hanging, Jones' Farm Market calls you to walk through cuts: chops, roasts, shanks, ground, sausage, organs, and packaging.

I’ve never ordered a whole lamb before. Help?

No problem — most of our customers are first-timers. The butcher can recommend a standard cut list, and we’re happy to walk you through it.

How much freezer space do I need?

Plan for about 1 cubic foot per 15–20 lbs of meat. A whole lamb typically needs 2–3 cubic feet of freezer space.

How long will the meat last?

Vacuum-sealed lamb maintains excellent quality for 12–18 months in the freezer.

Can I split a lamb with someone?

Yes. Many customers split a lamb with friends or family. Coordinate cut preferences and pickup between yourselves.

Can I visit the farm?

Yes — by appointment. Email us to schedule a visit. We’re glad to show you around and answer questions.
